Peter Heeschen is one of the Danish master carver. He is no stranger to serious pipe collectors. The pipes are all handcarved in a small workshop in the city of Holmstrup, about 4 US-miles from the center of Odense on the island of Funen. A simple man who loves life and loves the natural beauty of his small farm, the passion that Peter feels for the beauty of the world around him comes through in the works of art he creates from blocks of briar.
With a production of approximately 20-25 pipes/month. This is one of the smallest of the Danish carvers. But don't be fooled by the low production; these pipes are true masterpieces.
He uses finest Corsican briar. Sometimes spots occur, but I never use putting or filling of any kind. The stems are all handcrafted from ebonite or cumberlad, also artificial amber is used among. Further the stems are crafted in order to produce a maximum of flow in the smoking process.
